A project in CaptionHub is defined as the set of captions and subtitles associated with a single video.

As a Superuser, you can create new projects. Producers can also create projects if they have been granted permission in Team Settings.

Projects can be created in several ways:

  1. From local media
  2. From a URL
  3. Via one of our connectors
  4. From a live video stream

1. To create a project from a file on your computer

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard or Projects section.

  2. Click the Create new project button in the top right corner.

  3. Select Local file(s) or media URL.

  4. Enter a project name, then drag and drop your file(s) or click the Movie file section.

  5. Select the file from your computer.

  6. Click Create project to start the upload.

2. To create a project from a URL

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard or Projects section.

  2. Click the Create new project button in the top right corner.

  3. Select Local file(s) or media URL.

  4. Enter a project name and paste the URL where your media file is hosted.
